[Imaxtree]The 'Beaded Flapper Mini Skirt' by 3.1 Phillip Lim from his Fall 2009 collection is on my wish list. I love the dusty rose color with the purple and silver beaded scalloped hem. It's an expensive piece at $595. I don't think that it'd ever really go out of style though. It's pictured with the 'Ruffled Tux Blouse' ($450).
This skirt looks perfect with black opaque tights. The pure silk skirt has a black waistband, which makes it great for tucked-in tops. I think that it could easily be dressed down a notch with a black leather jacket and tights. It could, of course, be worn to a cocktail party without tights and beautiful heels.
Mr. Lim also created a gorgeous 1920s-inspired 'Beaded Flapper Dress' ($975). A girl can dream...
