I love miniskirts, and I've recently found several that are fabulous and, most importantly, affordable. Plus, they're a year-round wardrobe staple. Wear them now with tights then in the spring and summer without. I pair mine with a sweater cardi or turtleneck and tights now - the sweater nicely juxtaposes the shorter skirt.

Express also has a few affordable options. The 'high-waist mini bandage skirt' ($59.95) takes a cue from Hervé Léger's popular bandage dresses and skirts. It's available in fun colors like sweet raspberry and bright citrene (my personal fave). These would look great with a simple American Apparel v-neck tee or a boyfriend blazer.

The striped mini is so cute - and only $20! I must have it.
