Zac Efron done with musicals?

Dreamy Zac Efron dropped out of the Footloose remake to pursue more mature roles. Give me a break! Just because a movie is considered a musical doesn't mean it's not mature. Look at Chicago or Moulin Rouge - they're full of drama.

Efron has been cast in The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud, based on the book that's in my reading queue, and Me and Orson Welles. He is also starring in the upcoming 17 Again, which sounds like it's going to be a 13 Going on 30 for dudes. Perhaps his High School Musical days are over, but I think he should reconsider giving up musicals for good.
