Affordable finds in Neiman Marcus's Christmas Book

[neimanmarcus.com]

The 83rd edition of Neiman Marcus's Christmas Book was released last week. Historically, the catalog has showcased outlandish gift items. This year, the Dallas-based retailer made their catalog more recession-friendly with almost half of the items being $250 or less. Now that will put you in the gift-giving spirit!

Of course, there are still luxury items like a beautiful Jaguar $105,000, a $250,000 ICON A5 sports aircraft plus pilot training for two and a $25,000 cupcake car (see above). Here are a few of my favorite affordable items (under $200) from this year's catalog...

-Tea for One set ($25) - Tea lovers rejoice! The stoneware pot, teacup and saucer in red, black or white with a bauble on top is adorable.

-NM Shopping Bag Ornament ($45, pictured) - Oh, I definitely need this adorable glass ornament for my Christmas tree.

-MARC by Marc Jacobs slippers ($175) - These cozy slippers in faux shearling and velvet are emblazoned with the MJ logo in navy or bordeaux.

-Johnny Was Tunic ($180-$200) - This pretty, colorful tunic comes in sizes XS-3X.

-John Hardy Bracelet ($195) - I especially love this 'Kali' bracelet in black since it would go with a lot.

-Laura Mercier NM Exclusive Essential Eye Organizer ($125, pictured) - There are 12 lovely shades of eyeshadow plus three brushes in this compact.
