For Chanel's spring/summer 2010 RTW line, Karl Lagerfeld went country. A barn was set up in the center of Grand Palais in Paris, where the show was held. The models walked out on a dirt floor under a barn emblazoned with the signature double Cs while guests sat on bails of hay. It's definitely a unique concept.
Models with up-swept hair wore high-heeled clogs, often with light-colored hose, and some had faux tattoos around their legs (say what?). I do love the three skirt suits pictured. Many carried versions of the signature quilted bag.
Lily Allen, the new face of Chanel's handbag campaign, and a band suddenly popped out of the middle of the floor singing "Not Fair." Two models provided back-up for her. She was wearing a black ostrich-feather dress and two-toned tights.
