Lust: A patterned coat

[shopbop.com]

A patterned coat has been on my mind lately - maybe it's the snow that we're supposedly getting on Saturday. There are three coats (and a poncho) at shopbop.com that are worth lusting over.

The above 'Tapestry Shawl Coat' by Mara Hoffman ($660) couldn't be any cuter. The black-and-white brocade coat features a belted tie and pockets at the hip. I would definitely wear this all the time.
M Missoni's 'Gradiant Stripe Coat' ($836.50, 30% off) is very chic. The double-breasted wool coat with a fold-over collar is a unique spin on your standard black winter coat.
Alice + Olivia's 'Trapeze Knit Coat' ($440) is actually a chocolate color, which I love. The wool topper is definitely a cold-weather coat.
Just for fun, I kind of adore this 'Dora Poncho' by Dolce Vita ($297). Sure, these days when I think poncho, I can't help but conjure up images of Ugly Betty, but this ikat one is great.

  1. I love a pattered coat - i have a black and white houndstooth and a black and navy damask print one.

The gradient stripe coat is beautiful and since the pattern is black and white and only on the bottom, you could still do really bold accessories.

  2. Yes, definitely about the accessories and Missoni coat. If only it were 75% off instead of just 30..sigh :)
